2 Months into Residency

Harder than I expected

I officially finished 2 months of residency.

I delivered 19 babies over 2 weeks of OB nights, and I got to work on my lac repairs. I tried to manage OB triage, deliveries, and postpartum moms and babies. It was a lot.

I am very grateful to be at a well-known Full Scope FM program, and I am learning why it is such a sought-after program. The training is AMAZING but HARD.

This week I will be on Ortho which is a much easier rotation for us. Mostly clinic and seeing how to manage a lot of MSK problems outpatient as primary care and what to expect when we refer to our ortho bros and podiatrists.

New Video out now

My favorite snacks are La Colombe coffee and these little refrigerated Perfect Bars. I try to consume just one a day of each and the coffees usually go on sale for 25% off often so only buy them when on sale!

Now that I get a paycheck, I also started to optimize my finances as much as possible. The biggest change is getting the Bilt Mastercard which lets me earn points on paying RENT. Something I have to do anyways I might as well earn some points while doing it. It’s the only Credit Card that lets you do that.

After Ortho I will be on Medicine Days for 4 weeks and it will be a good BULK of medicine learning early on. Excited to work close to 80 hours a week again…
